Album from feminist punk band based in Cincinnati, OH (myself, Liz Cambron, Smashley Jordan, and Jarrod Cann)
Cincinnati, Ohio has a long and documented history with class-warfare and has a reputation for festering tense racial divides. This piece takes a whimsical spin on the public service announcement. It aims to be self-reflexive about middle class interests in topics such as gentrification. It is like swallowing a bad tasting pill, everyone, including the makers, the audience, and the space are implicated for their contributions to continuing class-warfare in art spaces.
